Lois Collins, a resident at Parkview Care Center, recently had her artwork featured on a Christmas card.
Each year, the center’s parent company, Life Care Centers of America, invites residents in more than 200 nursing and rehab facilities to submit card designs, and one piece is chosen for each of the organization’s geographical divisions. A total of eight designs are printed and distributed to facilities and regional offices throughout Life Care.
Collins loves to be around others, and she is often found playing the piano for other residents. She is known for her sweet personality and praying with others when they have a need – she is willing to offer a kind word or comfort to those around her.
“[My drawing on the card] conveys the joy of Christmas to me. It came to me in bits and pieces, and I took several days to think about it and work on it,” said Collins.
